Baptism is God’s gift of acceptance and belonging.
It is more of a message than a ceremony.
In baptism God says to every child…
“Welcome to My family. You belong!”
To every parent God says…
“This child being entrusted to you is My Child…
Remember that always, and raise him/her
to know just who and whose he/she is!”
And to every congregation God is saying…
“Take care of this precious gift…
Do everything in your power to see that
he/she grows up to know My love.”
Matthew 28:19 says…
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
